Ronald Paul Collins, age 83, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at The Laurels of Mount Vernon. He was born on September 13, 1940, in New Castle, Indiana, to the late Edward and Lillian (Tipton) Collins.
Ron was an automotive engineer and loved collecting antique cars. He was an avid fisherman and fished whenever he had free time. Most of all he loved being around his family and friends around a good ole barbeque.
Ron is survived by his children, Eugene (Reta Jackson) Collins, Ronald (Sandy) Collins Jr, John Collins; a daughter, Jeana Griffith; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Along with his parents, Ron is preceded in death by his wife, Velva Collins; and a brother, Eugene Collins.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
