MOUNT VERNON – Mount Vernon Municipal Court Judge John Thatcher found 32 people guilty after hearings and court trials were conducted this week at the Mount Vernon Municipal Court.
These were the cases brought forward by Mount Vernon Law Director P. Robert Broeren Jr.’s Office.
Dec. 11
Nathan McGough, 43, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of menacing.
Travis Moore, 38, of Ontario, was found guilty of criminal mischief.
Tammi Jones, 52, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of disorderly conduct.
Tyler Smith, 28, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of vehicle trespass.
Corey Street, 33, of Newport News, VA, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or a drug of abuse.
Jay Brownfield, 34, of Fredericktown, was found guilty of having physical control of a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or a drug of abuse and failure to use reasonable control of a motor vehicle.
William Kislingbury, 30, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.
Assistant Law Director Steve Potts prosecuted Jones case and First Assistant Law Director Brittany Whitney prosecuted all cases on behalf of the City of Mount Vernon, the State of Ohio, and the Villages of Centerburg, Danville, Fredericktown and Gambier.
Dec. 12
Brandon Adkison, 41, of Newark, was found guilty of domestic violence.
Samantha Vannatta, 28, of Howard, was found guilty of failing to confine a dog.
Michael Anderson, 45, of Danville, was found guilty of disorderly conduct.
Christopher Jobin, 52, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of domestic violence.
Dakota Peck, 34, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of abandoning animals.
Joshua Goheen, 37, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of possessing drug paraphernalia.
Ricky Smith, 58, of Fredericksburg, was found guilty of hunting without a permit, three counts of game check violation.
Christopher Mulpas, 46, of Centerburg, was found guilty of three counts of failure to obtain a deer permit.
Sarah Christine, 37, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of disorderly conduct.
Daniel Walton, 30, of Danville, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle without wearing a seatbelt and speeding.
Samuel Wright, 31, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of speeding.
Bryan Lamb, 37, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle under an FRA suspension.
Geoffery Bennett, 32, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle with expired plates.
Arthur Geoppinger, 52, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle with fictitious and expired plates.
Jasmine Martin, 33, of Coshocton, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle under a license forfeiture suspension.
First Assistant Law Director Brittany Whitney prosecuted the Adkison and Jobin cases and Assistant Law Director Steve Potts prosecuted all other cases on behalf of the City of Mount Vernon, the State of Ohio, and the Villages of Centerburg, Danville, Fredericktown and Gambier.
Dec. 13
Lawrence Di Giovanni, 60, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of disorderly conduct.
Brian Farmer, 46, of Gambier, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle without wearing a seat belt.
Carline Louis, 44, of Columbus, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle under an FRA suspension.
First Assistant Law Director Brittany Whitney prosecuted the DiGiovanni case and Assistant Law Director Steve Potts prosecuted all other cases on behalf of the City of Mount Vernon, the State of Ohio, and the Villages of Centerburg, Danville, Fredericktown and Gambier.
Dec. 15
Barbara Nicholson, 51, of Fredericktown, was found guilty of theft and criminal trespassing.
Damien Rice, 20, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle under an FRA suspension.
Thomas Frost, 32, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle without assured clear distance.
Paul Lauritzen, 68, of Euclid, was found guilty of speeding.
Kenneth Smaltz, 38, of Fredericktown, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle without an operator’s license and under an FRA suspension.
Latahvia Hardin, 27, of Ontario, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle with fictitious plates.
James Shopbell, 36, of Mansfield, was found guilty of improper passing, left of center while operating a motor vehicle.
