As a long-time resident of Knox County I feel Experience Mount Vernon deserves our thanks for being dedicated to downtown Mount Vernon. 

They energize and strengthen downtown with community-wide events of which Winter in Downtown is one. 

As a non-profit organization they operate entirely on investors, community donations and corporate sponsors.

Recently they were criticized for choosing Open Road Renewables as the primary sponsor for holiday events, Winter in Downtown. 

Although Open Road is based in Texas, they have an office in downtown and have sponsored many local events in downtown and out in the county. They are a positive addition to our community.

We are lucky to have Experience Mount Vernon and all their sponsors trying to help enrich our life in Mount Vernon. Let’s all enjoy our beautiful downtown and the Holiday Season.
