David Allen Mercer, age 61, of Cedar Point, North Carolina, and former Fredericktown resident passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at his home.

He was born on January 1, 1962, in Knox County, Ohio to the late Robert and Ada Ruth (Collins) Mercer. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Swansboro, NC. David had a strong admiration for his hometown of Fredericktown, Ohio and those who he shared many memories with. They were all important to him and he held them close until the end. He remembered each and every friendship as an invaluable experience in his life and would recount each and every memory with the same enthusiasm.

David is survived by his daughter Katie Williams of Emerald Isle, NC.

Friends may call on Thursday, November 16, 2023, from 10-11am at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown. The funeral service will follow, beginning at 11am, with Pastor Marvin Haught officiating.
Burial will take place at Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown.
