MOUNT VERNON – Mount Vernon Municipal Court Judge John Thatcher found 30 people guilty after hearings and court trials were conducted this week at the Mount Vernon Municipal Court.

These were the cases brought forward by Mount Vernon Law Director P. Robert Broeren, Jr.’s Office.

Oct. 16

Shawn Barrett, 52, of St. Louisville, was found guilty of criminal trespass.

Corey Lamer, 29, of Mount Liberty, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or a drug of abuse.

Law Director Rob Broeren prosecuted the Barrett case and First Assistant Law Director
Brittany Whitney prosecuted all the other cases on behalf of the City of Mount Vernon,
the State of Ohio, and the Villages of Centerburg, Danville, Fredericktown and Gambier.

Oct. 17

Carol Dowell, 53, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of possession of drug abuse instruments.

Haley Bower, 31, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of resisting arrest.

Steven Starner, 31, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of domestic violence.

Amber Barker, 32, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of criminal trespass.

Mark Scaggs, 49, of Ontario, was found guilty of inducing panic.

Denise Wintz, 47, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of disorderly conduct in the presence of EMS personnel.

Nicholas Ramey, 31, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of fishing without a license.

Heather Suazo, 47, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of dog running at large.

William Pyles, 58, of Gambier, was found guilty of criminal mischief.

Randall Fannin, 70, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of reckless operation.

Walter Torres Penate, 48, of Columbus, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or a drug of abuse under ALS suspension.

Mariah Lloyd, 24, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of driving under a license forfeiture suspension.

Nevada Frost, 28, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of speeding.

Mckayla Abdo, 29, of East Lansing, MI, was found guilty of driving without a valid license.

Yonah Minor, 21, of Ashland, was found guilty of speeding.

Steve Potts prosecuted all other cases on behalf of the City of Mount Vernon, the State of
Ohio, and the Villages of Centerburg, Danville, Fredericktown and Gambier.

Oct. 18

Jesse Humphrey, 21, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of speeding.

Assistant Law Director Steve Potts prosecuted these cases on behalf of the City of Mount
Vernon and the State of Ohio.

Oct. 20

Brooklyn Shellenbarger, 27, of Howard, was found guilty of failure to register dog.

John Green, 29, of Lucas, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or a drug of abuse and improper lane usage.

Jacob James, 21, of Groveport, was found guilty of driving under FRA suspension and failure to stop before entering the roadway.

Curtis Aldridge, 24, of Wooster, was found guilty of failing to yield to safety vehicle.

Mark Wicker, 56, of Edison, was found guilty of driving without a motorcycle endorsement.

Melissa McCutchen, 43, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of driving in violation of his temporary permit restrictions by driving without a valid licensed driver.

Samantha Walters, 27, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of speeding.

Steven Carpenter, 53, of Newark, was found guilty of speeding.

Ashton Fisher, 22, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of speeding.

Noah Glancy, 24, of Fredericktown, was found guilty of failing to maintain an assured clear distance.

Julie Powell, 30, of Galloway, was found guilty of speeding.

Chad Pack, 44, of Fredericktown, was found guilty of driving under suspension and driving a prohibited vehicle on roadway.

Holden Bleiler, 19, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of speeding.
