MOUNT VERNON – Republican Scott Pullins of Knox County has officially announced his second campaign for State Representative.

He is running for the 98th Ohio House District which includes all of Coshocton and Holmes Counties, and most of Knox County. He ran against incumbent Darrell Kick in the August 2022 primary and lost by 684 votes.

“State Representative is not an entry level job or for untested political newcomers,” said Pullins. “We’ve already seen too much turmoil in the Ohio House from infighting and immature members. It’s time to start electing highly experienced and tested representatives again.”

“Over the last five years the Ohio House has had five different Speakers,” Pullins said. “In Knox County we have had four different legislators represent all or parts of the county over the past two years.

“I am not a Democrat wolf in Republican clothing,” Pullins said. “I voted in my first Republican primary at age 18 and have voted Republican ever since then.

“I served on the Knox County Republican Central and Executive Committees from 1994 until 2008 and again from 2020 on.”

Scott Pullins is an Ohio attorney, charter school board member, political consultant, and writer. He provides services to small businesses, individuals, financial entities, and political organizations.

He has lobbied for taxpayer groups, small businesses, an alternative medical association, an education nonprofit and on wildlife issues.
