Janet Lee Smith, age 88, of Mount Gilead passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at the Morrow Manor Nursing Home in Chesterville with her loving family at her side.
She was born on March 10, 1935, in Mount Gilead to the late Albert Kidwell and Imo (Foust) Clark. Janet enjoyed Jigsaw Puzzles, watching Nascar, and collecting Thomas Kinkade memorabilia. But most of all she loved the time she spent with her family and close friends.
Janet is survived by her daughters, Diana (James) Keyes, Debra (Buster) Keen; her grandchildren, Jamie (Chip Brown) Keyes, Laura (Lincoln) Stanley; her great grandchildren, Chase Keyes, Taylor Brown, Claire Stanley; her sister Marjorie (Lowell) Chilcote; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousin, aunts and her uncle.
In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her stepfather Glenn Clark; her daughter Terri Smith; and her sisters, Mary Vipperman and Sarah Jane Davis.
Friends may call on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at the Snyder Funeral Home – Craven Chapel in Mount Gilead from 5-7PM.
