MOUNT VERNON — Knox County Sheriff’s deputies filed these reports after their respective shifts.

JULY 14

— Complainants came to the Knox County Sheriff’s to report that their daughter was in a mental health crisis and they needed help with the situation. Deputies responded to the residence, the daughter was pink slipped and taken to Knox Community Hospital for a mental health evaluation.

— The Complainant advised someone attempted to obtain unemployment benefits in his name.

— A Deputy was checking the buildings at the Gambier Community Center and discovered a storage shed door was open from forced entry. The Village Administrator was contacted and the incident was documented.

— Deputies were dispatched to the 800 block of Winesap Circle in reference to lost and found property. Deputies attempted to make contact with the property owner, collected the lost property and a report was taken for documentation purposes.

JULY 15

— A deputy was dispatched to a theft complaint on North Sandusky St. Dispatch advised that someone had stolen her son’s bicycle. The deputy responded and made contact with the complainant.

— Deputies were dispatched to Harcourt Rd. on a female threatening to harm herself. Deputies arrived and the female was transported to the hospital for a mental health evaluation. Nothing further at this time.

— A report of an injured deer on Coshocton Road was called into dispatch. A deputy responded, located the deer, then dispatched it with his sidearm.

JULY 16

— The Knox County Sheriff’s Office was contacted in reference to a harassment claim on Gambier Road, Mount Vernon. The complainant advised the harassment started after an incident at a local bar took place. The complainant provided Deputies with photographs of the messages and social media posts. A report was taken for documentation of the incident.

— Deputies while on marine patrol of Knox Lake, observed a boat with invalid registration. Upon further observation it appeared the individuals were camping on-shore. Deputies notified an Ohio Division of Wildlife officer and the deputies along with the Ohio Division of Wildlife officer made contact with the individuals. A citation was issued for the boat registration and a report made. Nothing further at this time.

— Deputies while on marine patrol of Knox Lake, observed a boat with invalid registration. Upon further observation it appeared the individuals were camping on-shore. Deputies notified an Ohio Division of Wildlife officer and the deputies along with the Ohio Division of Wildlife officer made contact with the individuals. A citation was issued for the boat registration and a report made. Nothing further at this time.

— Deputies responded to a vehicle crash at the intersection of Quarry Chapel Road and East Brooklin Street in Gambier. The driver was located and issued a citation for failure to control.

— A Knox County Deputy spoke with a complainant over the phone about their vehicle being broken into at the river access in Gambier. The complainant said that multiple items were stolen. The Deputy gave advice and a report was filed.
