MOUNT VERNON — Community members are invited to attend the second annual Feed the Need Potluck and Bluegrass Extravaganza this Friday at Sips, 101 S. Main St. The potluck will begin at 5:30 p.m.; live bluegrass music will played until 8 p.m.
The Feed the Need Potluck helps fund a small, nonprofit organization or an individual in need in the community. This year the potluck will benefit the Knox County Chapter of the Byron Saunders Foundation. The mission of the foundation is to provide the fixings for a Thanksgiving meal to families in Knox County. More than 200 families received a meal in each of the last three years.
Last year’s event raised over $2,000. Come for some good food and great bluegrass music and at the same time help support the local chapter of the Byron Saunders Foundation.
