MOUNT VERNON — The Knox County Cantata Choir will sing the Christmas story bluegrass-style on Dec. 6 and 7 at the Memorial Theater.
Under the direction of Lynn Jurkowitz, “Rhapsody in Bluegrass” will feature a bluegrass band of community musicians featuring Jeanell Branstool, Dennis Eggerton, Peter Streiber, Sam Riffle, Phillip Humphries, and Jessica Overholt. The narrator will be Jim Stoner with musical accompaniment by Mark Noland. Soloists for the cantata will be Brenda Putnam, Roger Hartwell, and Jaimye Weaver.
