BELLVILLE — If it was his final game at the Colt Corral, Clear Fork senior quarterback Brennan South went out in style.

The senior passed for five touchdowns and ran for three more on Friday night in a 55-20 win against Marion Harding in a game not even as close the one-sided final score indicated.

The win improves the Colts to 6-3 overall and 3-2 in the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference, a league Clear Fork has won back-to-back in its first two seasons in the conference.

The potential exists for a four-way tie for the league title after week 10. Galion (8-1, 4-1) is the league co-leader, but the Tigers finish the regular season at surging Marion Pleasant (7-2, 3-2).

Clear Fork travels to co-leader Shelby (6-3, 4-1) next Friday. If  Clear Fork and Pleasant both win, the MOAC will have four teams with 5-2 league records.

Playoff spots are also on the line also with Galion holding the top spot in Division IV, Region 14. Clear Fork and Shelby are fifth and sixth, respectively, in the same region.

Week 10 and the post-season were secondary issues at the Colt Corral on Senior Night as Clear Fork blew Marion Harding out early.

The Colts led 28-0 after one quarter as South tossed TD passes to Elijah Hughes (20 yards) and Tacoma Orr (29 yards) and also ran for two scores (6 yards and 13 yards).

South scored on an 8-yard run to make it 35-0 and fired a 49-yard scoring pass to Orr to make the score 42-6.

After Harding ran the kickoff back 95 yards for a score, South connected on a 39-yard TD pass to Jackson Myer and then a 14-yard pass to Orr to make it 55-13 with 11:51 left in the fourth quarter.

Clear Fork had 487 yards of offense, including 192 yards rushing on 33 carries and completing 23 of 35 passes for 295 yards. Harding was limited to 137 yards of offense, including 67 on the ground and 70 in the air.

South finished with 21 completions of 31 passes or 282 yards, five TDs and one interception. He also led Clear Fork with 67 yards rushing on 10 attempts with the three TDs.

Orr finished with six receptions for 105 yards and three TDs.
