Crash Reports

July 18

  • Glenn D. Yoder, Thomas K. Baldwin, and Evan R. Bittner were north bound on Newark Rd. Bittner was in front of Baldwin who was in front of Yoder. Bittner and Baldwin stopped for traffic and Yoder failed to stop, striking Baldwin who was pushed into Bittner. Yoder was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
  • A vehicle owned by Kaleb R. Butts was struck by an unknown driver causing front end damage. The unknown driver left the scene without leaving any information There were no security cameras in the area to help solve the incident.

July 19

  • Gary L. McDonald was traveling west on W. High St. at Mechanic St. and Jackie Fletcher was traveling north on Mechanic St. at W. High St. McDonald struck Fletcher in the front driver’s side after failing to stop at a red light on W. High St. McDonald was cited for failure to stop at a red light.
  • Curt A. Hester, Jr. was traveling west onto S. Main St. and struck Thomas A. Heckathorn with his trailer while both were negotiating the curve.
  • Harold F. Hux was backing out of a business on W. High St. and Judith Hall-Williams was traveling east on W. High St. Hux failed to yield and struck Hall-Williams. Hux was cited for failure to yield when entering a roadway.
  • Theresa D. McCormick was traveling east on Coshocton Ave. and Nancy L. Beeman was traveling west on Coshocton Ave. McCormick was attempting to make a left turn into a business and struck Beeman head on at low speed. McCormick was cited for failure to yield when making a left hand turn.

July 20

  • Wilbert M. Bell and Joshua C. Will were northbound on S. Gay St. Bell was in the right lane and Will was in the left lane Bell changed lanes and struck Will. Bell was cited for changing lanes without safety.

July 22

  • Marion O. Tulloch was traveling north on N. Sandusky when he blacked out. Tulloch crossed over W. Hamtramck St. and struck a light pole causing it to fall and block both lanes of traffic. He was cited for failure to control/weaving.

Incident Reports

July 18

  • An officer responded to a business on Coshocton Ave. in reference to a dog locked in a vehicle. Upon arrival, contact was made with the owner of the dog and she was issued a summons for cruelty to animals for leaving the dog locked in the car with no food water or air conditioning running.
  • Officers responded to W. Curtis St. on a report of an active domestic violence incident. Upon arrival the male and female were separated. A statement was taken from the male and photographs were taken of the scene. The female was unable to fill out a report at that time but would return the next day to fill one out. This report will be forwarded to the City Law Director’s Office for review for possible charges.
  • At approximately 1:32 PM officers responded to E. Gambier St. on a report of a known male in the lobby with a box cutter. Upon arrival, officers arrested the male and he was transported to the Knox County Jail.
  • At 8:40 PM, an officer was dispatched to Ridgewood Ave. on a report of a disturbance. When the officer arrived he made contact with the suspect. The officer then made contact with the complainant who said the suspect had threatened to slit her throat with a knife. The suspect was then placed under arrest and transported to the Knox County Jail.

July 20

  • At 12:58 PM an officer was dispatched to a Coshocton Ave. business on a report of a man in the parking lot with a dog and an open container. When the officer arrived he made contact with the male who was holding an open container. The male became very agitated and started to act aggressively. He started using fowl language and would not listen. The officer warned the male several times about his conduct but he continued to be disorderly. The officer finally placed the male under arrest and he was transported to the Knox County Jail.

July 22

  • An officer responded to N. Mulberry St. in reference to a suspicious person who was sleeping. When the officer arrived, he spoke to the individual who was advised of the complaint. The individual was run through dispatch and was found to have an active warrant. The individual was taken into custody and transported to the Knox Count Jail.

July 18

  • Uriah Langston, 36, Prospect St. was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
  • Glenn Yoder, 63, Dalton OH, was cited for assured clear distance ahead.
  • Chelsea Joseph, 27, Columbus Rd. was arrested for cruelty to animals_torture.
  • Phillip Lehmkuhl, 30, N. Mulberry St. was arrested for disorderly conduct and disorderly conduct with persisting.
  • Jared Farabaugh, 27, S. Gay St. was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
  • Joseph Heins, 19, Fredericktown, was arrested on two outstanding warrants.

July 19

  • Parker Gregg, 19, McKenzie Rd. was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
  • Alexander Blain, W. Vine St. was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
  • Jurt Hester, 35, Fredericktown, was cited for drive on right side of road.
  • Brandon Butler, 22, Greenwood Ave. was arrested for aggravated menacing.
  • Heather Auker, 36, E. Pleasant St. was arrested for making false alarms.
  • William Atherton, 40, S. Jefferson St. was cited for driving under an FRA suspension.
  • Harold Hux, 74, Ransom Rd. was cited for failure to yield when entering roadway.
  • Kevin Curtis, 34, Columbus Rd. was arrested for domestic violence and aggravated menacing.
  • Daniel Morris, 33, Schenck Creek Rd. was cited for failure to comply with a lawful order.
  • Melodie Lacoy, 30, Centerburg, was cited for changing lanes without safety.
  • Theresa McCormick,64, Shalimar Dr. was cited for failure to yield right of way when turning left.

July 20

  • Jeffery Sherbahn, 63, Shirley Ave. was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct with persisting, resisting arrest, and open container.
  • Misty Zolman, Martinsburg Rd. was cited for failure to reinstate driver’s license.
  • Jacob Ferguson, 19, Laybelle Dr. was cited for failure to display plates.

July 21

  • Scott Greene, 54, Clearview Dr. was arrested on a warrant for probation violation.
  • Heather Trombley, 26, Marion St. was cited for Dus and fictitious plates.
  • Amanda Smith, 34, Oak St. was cited for failure to yield when driving onto roadway.
  • Sherida Simpson, 42, Utica, was cited for DUS.

July 22

  • Marion Tulloch, 32, Bedford Hts. OH, was cited for failure to control.
  • Thomas Ward, 19, Follin Ave. was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
  • Christopher Ballard, 33, S. Jackson St. was arrested for an outstanding and cited for driving under FRA suspension.
