Crash Reports
July 11
- Mason L. Dechant was traveling south on Newark Rd. And was slowing for traffic. Benjamin F. Williams was behind Dechant also traveling south. Richard Kyle Hill was behind Williams and struck him causing him to strike Dechant.
- Sheri J. Doup backed out of a parking space and struck Kelsey J. Baker who was parked at a fuel pump.
July 13
- Bett R. Mills was southbound on S. Main St. Sarah E. Delacruz was eastbound on E. Chestnut. Mills ran a red light and struck Delacruz. Mills was cited for running a red light.
July 14
- Ricky J. Mathews, Jr. was on N. Elm St. turning east onto W. Chestnut St. He failed to stop and yield to Kolton Miller-Bumpus who was westbound on W. Chestnut St. causing him to strike Mathews.
- Tara Dawn Hack was traveling west on W. High St. and struck Elizabeth Hock who was also traveling west on W. High St. and had slowed for traffic. Hack was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
Incident Reports
July 11
- Two officers responded to Follin Ave. on a report of a suspicious person and possible drug activity. While investigating the report the officers discovered Kyle A. Walker had an active warrant. Walker was placed under arrest. Further investigation found marijuana on Walker’s person. He was also issued a summons for possession of marijuana. He was transported to the Knox County Jail.
- An officer responded to E. Ohio Ave. on a report of vandalism. Photographs were taken of the damage and a statement taken from the victim. No suspects have been identified.
- An act of vandalism was reported to the MVPD.
- Officers responded to Shalimar Dr. in response to a report of domestic violence. Thew victim told officers she had to run outside of her apartment after an argument with her live-in boyfriend, Levi Cunningham. The victim said the argument escalated to the point where Cunningham lunged at her. This caused her to run downstairs and outside. Cunningham then threw a lamp at the wall making a hole in it. Once outside Cunningham lunged at her again. Cunningham was arrested for domestic violence and menacing.
- An officer responded to E. Ohio Ave. in reference to a disturbance. The officer spoke with neighbors who indicated the two individuals were verbally fighting in the area. The individuals were issued summonses for obstructing official business and arrested for an active arrest warrant.
- An officer spoke to an individual concerning an incident with his children. Statements were collected and an investigation is pending.
July 12
- An officer was patrolling Arch Park and observed vandalism. A report was made and the case is closed.
- An individual was cited for driving under a 12-point suspension. His vehicle was impounded and taken to the Mount Vernon Impound Lot.
- An officer was notified of a trespassing incident. The security officer at a Coshocton Ave. business reported an employee had observed the suspect on the business property on July 11. The individual had been trespassed from the business previously. The officer collected the security video and a statement,
- Officers responded to N. Main St. for a domestic violence call. When the officers arrived they spoke to the complainant who said Gregory M. Mehrle had threatened harm to her and her daughter. The complainant also said Mehrle had swung his fist at her head. Mehrle was arrested and charged with domestic violence and menacing. He was transported to the Knox County Jail.
July 13
- Two officers responded to N. Mulberry St. on a report of domestic violence. After investigating the incident, officers arrested Devon M. Carpenter for domestic violence.
- An individual reported to the MVPD a friend had stayed with him on Newark Rd. When the individual awoke he discovered the friend had left taking some of the individual’s property with him. The individual attempted to call the friend but he did not answer.
- While on patrol on S. Main St, an officer observed four individuals stop traffic when they crossed the street outside the marked crosswalk. The officer made contact with the individuals. A report was taken and summonses were issued.
July 14
- A theft was reported on N. Braddock St. A female reported her purse was taken from her vehicle while she was at the residence. There are no suspects at this time.

- Kyle Walker, 24, Mt. Gilead, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and also charged with drug abuse.
- Jeffrey Petrey, 45, E. Hamtramck St. was arrested for criminal trespassing.
- Richard Hill, 40, Ames St. was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
- Michael Snyder, 44, Green Valley Rd. was arrested for an outstanding warrant
- Levi Cunningham, 35, Shalimar Dr. was arrested and charged with domestic violence and menacing.
- Brittany Saylor, 30, E. Ohio Ave. was arrested and charged with obstructing official business.
- Sean Rollins, 34, Sindey, OH, was arrested and charged with obstructing official business and for two outstanding warrants.
- Valentina Stiltner, 53, Hopewell Dr. was cited for ACDA
July 12
- Justin Fox, 30, Howard,was cited for DUS.
- Jeffrey Petrey, 45, E. Hamtramck St. was arrested for criminal trespassing.
- Christopher Ballard, 33, W. High St. was cited for driving under FRA suspension.
- Christopher Davis, 28, E. Pleasant St. was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
- Gregory Mehrle, 37, N. Main St. was arrested and charged with domestic violence and menacing.
July 13
- Devon Carpenter, 21, N. Mulberry St. was arrested and charged with Domestic violence.
- Betty Mills, 80, S. Concord Dr. was cited for running a red light.
- Steven Dupuy, 21, Johnson Ave. was arrested and charged with marijuana drug paraphernalia and drug abuse.
- Heather Hagner, 29, Old Delaware Rd. was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
- Travcis Singleton, 36, Centerburg, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
- Justin Price. 23, Old Delaware Rd. was cited for ACDA.
- Connell Frazee, 33, N. Mulberry St. was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
July 14
- Jacquelyn Price, 33, S. Jefferson St. was cited for driving under FRA suspension.
