FREDERICKTOWN — Recently, the Fredericktown FFA chapter competed in the Knox County Job Interview contest and qualified to participate in the District 7 Job Interview Contest. The contest was held at the Fredericktown Administration building.

This competition evaluated the skills of participants in the various parts of the job interviewing process. Members must complete a cover letter, resume, and job applications. These are scored on their format, content, and general appearance. They must also participate in a mock job interview, in which they are judged on eye contact, speech, and content of answers. They must also write a follow up letter, which is scored on the same criteria as the cover letter, resume, and application.

Maribeth Pozderac took 1st place in the Senior, Division 4. Marissa Simmons took 4th in the Junior, Division 3. Emily Rook took 2nd place in the Freshman, Division 1 category. Maribeth and Emily will advance to the District 7 contest. The Fredericktown FFA advisor is Debra Burden.
