Nov. 15
Matthew H. Boyette was traveling south on S. Mulberry St. where it crosses W. Vine St. Michael E. Farmer was crossing S. Mulberry St. headed west on W. Vine St. with the green light in his favor. Boyette ran the red light on S. Mulberry and was struck by Farmer. Boyette was cited for running the red light.
Darren P. Prinz was in the right turn lane of a private property access and attedmpting to turn right (north) on S. Main st. While Prinz was stopped in the right turn lane, Mandy L. Burney proceeded to pull along the right side of Prinz to also turn right onto S. Main St. When Burney began to make the turn she was struck Prinz who was also turning.
Nov. 16
Walter C. Butler was traveling south on S. Main St. and Stephen J. Miles was traveling east on Phillips Dr. Butler pulled out and struck Miles. Butler was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way at an intersection.
Julianna E. Burcham was traveling east on Oak St. and a vehicle owned by Allen Christopher was parked along Oak St. Burcham struck Christopher’s car.
Kersten C. Sanders was leaving private property and failed to yield the right-of-way to Ashton Fisher who was traveling north on Vernonview Dr. Sanders was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way when driving onto a roadway.
Incident Reports
Nov. 15
- At approximately 7:37 AM an officer responded to Coshocton Ave in reference to lost/found property. The property was seized and placed into evidence to be destroyed later.
- At approximately 4:15 PM an officer responded to W. High St and Riverside Dr. on a report a male was jumping in front of vehicles. The male reportedly continued westbound on W. High St. to the intersection of Harcourt Rd. and Old Delaware Rd., where he caused at least one car to leave the road in order to avoid hitting him. The male was located on Old Delaware Rd. where he was stopped and cited for disorderly conduct. He was given a courtesy ride to his residence.
- Officers responded to Follin Ave on a report of domestic violence. When they arrived, an officer spoke with the complainantr who stated she was punched in the face and choked. The complainant decline a squad and a written statement. Victim’s Advocate, New Directions and Children’s Services were contacted. A temporary protection order was issued. A report was made and a warrant was issued for the suspect.
Nov. 16
- At approximately 10:58 AM, units responded to Shalimar Dr. on a report of a disturbance. Jeffrey Petrey was later arrested and charged with possession of drug abuse instruments and paraphernalia.
- The employee of a Coshocton Ave. business reported an unknown person left behind a bag of marijuana. An officer took control of the bag which was placed into evidence for destruction.
- An officer was dispatched to Knox Community Hospital on a report of a disturbance. Dispatch advised the individual, was there and getting out of hand and they needed an officer to respond. When the officer arrived he spoke with the individual and determined he had caused damage to KCH property. He was placed under arrest and transported to Knox County Jail. He was incarcerated and charges were filed.
- An officer was dispatched to W. Sugar St. in reference to an unconscious female who had just waked up. When the officer arrived he spoke to the female and determined she was suffering from a drug overdose. At this point the Mount Vernon Fire Department arrived. It was also determined the female had an active warrant. She was transported to, KCH for treatment. When she was medically cleared she was placed under arrest for the warrant.
Nov. 17
- At approximately 1:49 AM an officer was patrol the area of N. Sandusky St. and McDonald’s when he observed multiple suspicious people sitting in the parking lot. When he approached the people, they advised they were using the WiFi for their cell phones. Nothing further to investigate.
- An officer was patrolling in the area of N. Clinton St. and E. Burgess St. when he noticed two individuals walking in the area. He made contact and found one of the individuals was in possession of a multi-colored glass fish smoking pipe with residue. The officer took possession of the pipe and placed it into evidence to be destroyed. No charges were filed.
- Officers responded to a McGibney Rd. address in reference to a physical domestic dispute. A witness saw the male hit the female then they entered a silver car and fled the area. While the officers were still on the scene the silver car returned and a vehicle pursuit ensued. The vehicle came to rest on E. High St. and the male, identified as Cameron Whittredge, fled on foot. He was captured and arrested. He was charged with domestic violence, failure to comply with a lawful order and driving under suspension.
- An officer responded to Howard St. on a parking complaint. The vehicle was impounded and towed to the Mount Vernon impound lot. The owner will need to pay ther towing fee and the daily storage fee.
- Units were dispatched to a reported disturbance on Follin Ave. Contact was made with a male identified as Roger Legg, Jr. who had a self-inflicted injury to his head,. Legg was transported to KCH where he became disruptive and non-compliant., Contact was made with his probation officer who advised he would put a holder on Legg. Once Legg was medically cleared, he was arrested and transported to the Knox County Jail and released to jail staff.
Nov. 18
- An officer was dispatched at 12:26 PM to N. Catherine St. for a found property of an unknown substance on the street next to his vehicle. The unknown substance was collected to be put into evidence to be destrotewd later. There is nothing further to report.
- At approximately 9:22 PM an officer responded to Howard St. on a report of a stolen vehicle. One female suspect was issued a summons and released.

- James Johnson, 29, Fredericktown, was cited for DUS and FRA suspension or non- compliance.
- Walter Butler, 81, Cliff St. was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way at an intersection.
- Andre Plikerd, 26, Newark, was charged with domestic violence and assault.
- Kayla Gilmore, 25, Mt. Pleasant PA. was cited for operation at a stop sign.
- Jeffrey Petrey, 45, S. Catherine St. was arrested and charged with possession of drug abuse instruments and possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Zachary Wagoner, 28 Follin Ave. was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

- Cameron Whittredge, 26, Lithopolis, OH, was arrested and charged with domestic violence, assault, failure to comply and driving under an FRA suspension.
- Irwin Stephen, 21, Covington LA. was cited for operation @ stop sign.
