MOUNT VERNON — The Knox County Cantata Choir will present its 2018 Christmas Cantata, “The Song Heard ‘Round the World” by Joseph M. Martin, on Friday, Nov. 30, and Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Memorial Theater.
According to Martin, “Every culture in the world has its own Christmas legacy of song,” and this musical celebration of the birth of Christ using music from around the world will help usher in the season with a message of peace, hope, and love.
Arrangements of “Tiki, Tiki, Pm” and “Gesu Bambino” will be featured along with musical accompaniment by pianist Jessica Overholt and percussionist Chris Miller.
