Crash Reports

Nov. 8

  • Ryanna Cline and Harry D. Mullins were eastbound on Coshocton Ave. near Hilltop Dr. and were stopped for backed up traffic. Mullins began to drive forward and rear ended Cline. Mullins was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.

Nov. 9

  • Emil Goeppinger was turning left onto Coshocton Ave. from Upper Gilchrist Rd. and Stephanie E. Fields was turning right onto Coshocton Ave. Goeppinger drove into Fields’ lane and struck Fields.

Nov. 10

  • Delbert J. Everhart was traveling northwest on a public, one-way drive in Foundation Park. He alleged a motorized bike was traveling southeast on that road in the wrong direction. The bike was headed for a collision with Everhart. In order to avoid a head-on collision with the bike, he swerved and ran off the road and hit a tree.
  • Catherine C. Rost was stopped headed east on E. Curtis St. at N. Gay St. Eric J. Driscoll was traveling north on N. Gay St. Rost failed to yield the right-of-way to Driscoll from the stop sign. This caused Driscoll to strike Rost in the right side. Rost was cited for running a stop sign.

Incident Reports

Nov. 8

  • At approximately 10:06 AM a glass pipe with residue and a syringe from W. Vine St. were turned in as found property
  • At approximetly 12:42 PM, an officer was dispatched to Decatur Dr. for a reported disturbance. When the officer arrived at the scene, all parties were identified and a female was arrested for an outstanding warrant. Shew was transported to Knox County Jail without incident.
  • At approximately 1:37 PM, an officer was dispatched to Follin Ave. in response to a reported theft. When the officer arrived he spoke with the complainant who said a male went to her mailbox and brought her the mail. When the male left, the mailbox key was missing. The male stated the female took the key from him. A report was taken.
  • A male reported a road rage incident that began on Old Delaware Rd. He stated he was following a tan SUV and the operator was driving erratically and brandishing a firearm. The male followed the SUV from a safe distance and gave updates on the situation to the MVPD. The SUV was stopped on Newark Rd. The driver of the SUV was ordered out of the vehicle and placed into handcuffs and arrested. The SUV driver was advised of his Miranda Rights and questioned about the incident. A firearm was seized and placed into evidence.

Nov. 9

  • Two officers responded to the area of W. Chestnut and Mulberry streets on a report of an intoxicated male who was in a “bad state of mind” and who was becoming combative.

Nov. 10

  • An officer responded to a parking complaint on S. Edgewood Rd.

Nov. 11

  • While patrolling in the area of Coshocton Ave, and Verndale Dr. an officer noticed a car with a defective exhaust system change lanes without signaling. The operator was issued two summonses for drug possession and paraphernalia then released from the scene with a sober driver.
  • An employee of a Coshocton Ave. business contacted the MVPD about a shoplifting incident. The employee stated he had stopped a male who he witnessed concealing merchandise. The shoplifter was stopped as he attempted to leave the store and was issued a summons for petty theft.

Nov. 12

  • An officer was dispatched to a Coshocton Ave. business on a report of shoplifting. When the officer arrived at the scene, the suspect admitted to taking the items. A summons for petty theft was issued.

  • Keith Martin, 55, Harcourt Rd. was cited for driving under FRA suspension.
  • William Cline, 26, Mitchell Ave. was cited for speed.
  • Sammie Bethea, 18, E. Burgess St. was cited for speed.
  • Ryanna Cline, 19, Gambier, was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
  • James McGavran, 39, N. Main St. was cited for speeding.
  • Patricia Coates, 62, Vaughn Ct. was cited for expired license plates and speeding.
  • Lee Schuch, 27, Fredericktown, was arrested for an outstanding arrest warrant.

Nov. 9

  • Maxwell Wise, 21, Brinkhaven, was cited for OVI.
  • Ernest Dadson, 29 , Columbus, was cited for driving under an FRA suspension.
  • James Frost, 30, Broadway St. was cited for driving under suspension/revocation.
  • Emil Goeppinger, 88 ,Monroe Twp, OH, was cited for improper turning at an intersection.
  • Zachary Boone, 19, Cardington, was arrested for underage purchasing of alcohol and disorderly conduct with persisting.

Nov. 10

  • Joshua Nicholls, 28, W. High St. was cited for DUS, FRA. Suspension or Non-compliance.
  • Demond Wilson, 45, Columbus, was cited for speeding.
  • Tina Tagle, 45, Geneva OH, was cited for expired or unlawful license plates.
  • Catherine Rost, 63, Columbus, was cited for running a stop sign.

Nov. 11

  • Johnathan Snyder, 22, E. Hamtramck St. was charged with drug abuse and drug paraphernalia.
  • Ryan Teal 22, Follin Ave. was cited for driving under FRA suspension.
  • Nathan Fletcher, 19, Oak Dr. was arrested for a warrant for probation violation.
  • Colton Hill, 21, Shalimar Dr. was arrested for theft.

Nov. 12

  • Mary Eastman, 79, E. Gambier St. was cited for expired or unlawful plates.
  • Marcia Rogers, Cincinnati, was cited for speeding.
  • Max Tipton, 36, E. Gambier St. was cited for driving under FRA suspension.
