KNOX COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT
Oct. 18
- Deputies were requested to take a report by phone of a dog bite on Blanchard Rd. The complainant reported an unknown person was on her lawn late at night. The complainant’s dog exited the house and chased the suspect, biting him before he left the property. The complainant said the suspect entered a dark pickup truck and left the property. The complainant wanted to make a report in case a dog-bite injury was reported. No dog-bite injuries were reported at this time.
- The complainant advised she found nails in front of her driveway. The complainant said she picked most of them up but still wanted it documented. A report was taken.
- A vehicle owned by Virginia Loney was parked in a parking spot when an unknown vehicle struck her on the driver’s side. The unknown vehicle was backing from a parking spot next to Loney.
Oct. 19
- The complainant advised he had found some trash that had been dumped on his property. Names and addresses were found in the trash. Contact was made with the owners of the items and they were given 72 hours to clean it up. On Oct. 21 the officer was advised the trash had been picked up. The officer drove past the property and observed the trash had been removed. At this time the case is closed.
- Kenyon College Security called the KCSO and advised they had found marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The items were found in an apartment on the Kenyon College campus. The items were collected and placed in the KCSO evidence room to be destroyed.
Oct. 20
- An officer was dispatched to Flat Run Rd. and Hoover Rd. on a report of an injured deer. The OSHP requested the KCSO’s assistance because no trooper was available. The deputy arrived on the scene and found the injured deer in a field. The deputy dispatched the deer with his KCSO issued Glock 17 9mm. A deer slip was issued to the owner of the property who removed the deer from the field. ODNR was contacted in regards to testing the deer for chronic waste disease. ODNR said the animal was too young and declined the opportunity to test it.
- An officer contacted the complainant at his residence on Main St. in Fredericktown. The complainant said he had an item taken from his detached garage.
