Crash Reports

Oct. 11

  • Jessica Kathryn Mather and Kylie Marie Goudy were both stopped for a red traffic light while traveling west on Mount Vernon Ave. near Newark Rd. Mather thought traffic ahead was moving and applied pressure to the gas pedal causing him to strike the rear of Goudy. Mat5her was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance.

Oct. 13

  • Jamie M., French was traveling east on Old Delaware Rd. and Douglas L. Zeigler, Jr. was traveling south on Harcourt Rd. French had a flashing red light at the intersection of the two roads and Zeigler had a flashing yellow caution light. French stopped for the flashing red light. then proceeded into the intersection failing to exercise due care and struck Zeigler at an angle in the intersection. French was cited for a red light violation.

Incident Reports

Oct. 11

  • Damage to a vehicle was reported to the MVPD.
  • At 4:24 PM an officer responded Starbrite’s Sel-Service Car Wash in reference to a malfunctioning machine that caused damage to a vehicle. A report was made and no charges were filed.

Oct. 12

  • The MVPD was contacted about an unattended three-year-old child left outside. The report occurred on Follin Ave.
  • An officer responded to a Coshocton Ave. business in reference to a theft complaint. When the officer arrived he spoke with the complainant who stated a customer had called and reported they had pawned a ring they were renting from the business. The business requested charges be filed against the customer.
  • At approximately 5:45 PM an officer responded to a McGibney Rd. apartment in reference to a report of threats being made t5o the caller’s daughter. An interview was made with the alleged suspect. This report will be forwarded to the MVPD Detective Division.

Oct. 13

  • A theft of cigarettes was reported to the MVPD. The complainant stated his pack of cigarettes was taken while at the Mount Vernon Public Library. An investigation is pending and this report will be supplemented with any new information that becomes available.
  • A theft was reported on W. Gambier St. The complainant reported her daughter’s small purse and cell phone were taken while she was at Arch Park on Arch Ave. There are no suspects at this time.

Oct. 14

  • At approximately 12:38 AM an officer was patrolling in the area of McGibney Rd. when he observed a red Chevy headed west with a loud exhaust. The officer conducted a traffic stop and explained to the driver why the stop was made. Nothing further to investigate.
  • At approximately 1:41 AM an officer was patrolling in the area of N. Sandusky St. when he observed a suspicious person walking near a closed business. The officer made contact with the person and identified him. There is nothing further to report.
  • An officer responded to W. High St. in reference to a vandalism complaint. The complainant reported that all four of her tires were slashed while parked along the side of the road. The complainant requested a report be made for insurance purposes.

Sept.19

  • Jocelyn Butcher, 15, Coshocton Ave. was arrested and charged with two counts of assault and one count of disorderly conduct.

Oct. 10

  • Timothy Huffman, 33, S. Harrison St. was cited for failure to control/weaving

Oct. 11

  • James Hess, 43, Walnut St. was cited for driving under suspension/revocation.
  • John Bandagski, 30, Mansfield, was cited for driving under an FRA suspension.
  • Jessica Mather, 31, S. Harrison St. was cited for ACDA.
  • Dustin Walters, 22, Cardington, was cited for expired or unlawful plates.

Oct. 12

  • Kyle Griffin, 24, Utica, was cited for speeding.
  • Shawn Wooden, 42, E. Ohio Ave. was cited for DUS.
  • Charles Posey, 38, W. Curtis St. was arrested and charged with possession of drug abuse instruments.
  • Richard Tanley, 28, Sychar Rd. was arrested for a warrant for probation violation.

Oct. 13

  • Lane Quinn, 23, Circleville, was cited for driving under suspension/revocation.
  • Todd Baird, 57, Westerville, was cited for speeding.
  • Tessa Akers, 20, Follin Ave. was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
  • Jamie French, 35, Howard, was cited for a red light violation.

Oct. 14

  • Skyler Curtin, 35, Fredericktown, was cited for driving under an FRA suspension.
  • Stacey Wheeler, 43, Howard, was cited for failure to control/weaving.
