Crash Reports

April 27

  • Kristen Nicole Harris was headed northbound in the wrong direction in a parking lot on Martinsburg Rd. Harris stopped for traffic and Connor Curry backed out of his parking space, hitting Harris.
  • Loretta L. Shafer was stopped in the center lane on Coshocton Ave. for traffic. Safer merged from the center lane westbound into traffic and was struck by Tarrah L. Geiger who was also traveling westbound on Coshocton Ave. Safer was cited for changing lanes without safety.

Incident Reports

April 27

  • At 10:45 A.M. An officer impounded an abandoned vehicle on E. Burgess St. between Braddock St. and Sychar Rd. The vehicle had been issued three parking tickets and an orange tow warning sticker prior to being impounded. No key was available at the time of impoundment, Fees, storage and parking tickets are associated with the vehicle.

April 28

  • At 9:45 A.M. An officer was dispatched to E. Pleasant St. on a report of a syringe sticking out of a trash bag. When the officer arrived he was directed to the trash bag with the needle sticking out of it. The officer observed the bag looked like an animal had gotten in to it, causing the needle to stick out. The officer took the needle and placed it in the sharps container in car 7.
  • An officer was dispatched to a Newark Rd. business in reference to a theft complaint. When the officer arrived he spoke with the complainant who stated a male who was in the store, had placed a candy bar in his back pocket and did not pay for it when he paid for his other items. He was issued a summons for petty theft.
  • At 2:05 P.M. An officer was dispatched to Shalimar Dr. for a syringe located kin the grass by the roadway. The officer located the syringe and placed it in the sharps container in car 7. The officer made note that he had his body cam on for the call.

April 29

  • An officer was in the area of N. Mulberry and W. Sugar streets when he recognized an individual walking in the area. This person matched the description of an earlier suspicious person call. The officer made contact with the individual and noticed a syringe hanging out of his pocket. The individual tried to flee the scene and actively resisted being taken into custody. The individual was placed under arrest and was found to be in possession of contraband including one baggie containing a clear crystal-like substance, one hypodermic syringe with a clear white crystal-like substance inside.
  • While an officer was handling a disturbance call he noticed a multi-colored marijuana pipe located next to a white couch. Neither party would admit it belonged to them. The officer took possession of the pipe to have it destroyed.

  • Loretta Shafer, 46, Warsaw, OH, was cited for changing lanes without safety.
  • Bridgette Stachler, 35, Columbus Rd. was cited for changing lanes without safety.
  • Brittany Cosner, 24, Howard, was cited for driving under an FRA suspension.
  • Jeffrey Dillon, 35, Columbus, was cited for driving under an FRA suspension.

April 28

  • Michael Springston, 30, Harcourt Rd. was cited for drive in marked. continuous lanes.
  • Christian Hoeflich, 19, Gambier, was cited for a headlight violation.
  • Trevor Hagans, 28, W. Chestnut St. was arrested for theft.

April 29

  • Steven Wegener, 24, Shalimar Dr, was cited for expired or unlawful license plates.
  • Thomas Castle, 25, W, Sugar St. was cited for running a red light.
