Crash Report

Mar. 30

  • Charles C. Morrison was traveling northbound in a parking lot and Vicky L. Austin was traveling eastbound in the travel lane of the parking lot. Morrison failed to see Austin and pulled into the travel lane causing the two vehicles to collide. Morrison was cited for failure to control/weaving. There were no injuries.

Mar. 30

  • While on patrol, an officer was flagged down on McGibney Rd. about found property. The complainant stated he found drug paraphernalia and wanted it removed from his property. A glass smoking device was located and logged in as found property.
  • An officer responded to a Follin Ave. apartment on a report of found property. Upon arrival the officer spoke with the complainant who advised he had found a glass smoking device in a blue zippered case. It was collected and logged in as found property.
  • An officer responded to a W. High St address on a report of a suspicious male in the area. Several witnesses identified the male and his parole officer was notified. A report was made for purposes of documentation and it will be forwarded to the Knox County Parole Office.

April 1

  • At 9:43 AM. An officer seized an item of drug paraphernalia from an individual on N. Center St. A summons was issued to the suspect. The seized item was secured into an evidence locker at the police department. No additional charges were filed and the investigation has been closed.

  • Joseph Heins, 18, Adamson St., was cited for driving under an FRA suspension.
  • Denise Posey, 57, N. Center St., was arrested and charged with possessing drug abuse instruments.
  • Anthony Veleno, 41, W. Chestnut St., was cited for driving under an FRA suspension.
  • Scott Moody, 47, E. Pleasant St., was charged with violation of a temporary protection order.
  • Andrew Brown, 22, Mansfield Ave., was cited for reckless operation on a public street.
  • Vincent Marcellino, 53, Howard, was cited for expired or unlawful license plates.
