MOUNT VERNON — Freshman Kasey Keith won the shot put at the Bob Shannon Invitational at Denison University for Mount Vernon Nazarene University Women’s Indoor Track & Field, helping the Cougars to finish 6th out of 13 teams.
Keith set a new personal record and school record with a throw of 12.91 meters to win the event, and threw a 12.19 meter mark in the weight throw to finish sixth.
Keith is from Burbank, Ohio and attended Norwayne High School before coming to MVNU, where she studies Mathematics & Finance.
Keith and the rest of MVNU Women’s Indoor Track & Field will be at Indiana Wesleyan on Feb. 9 and 10 for the Crossroads League Indoor Championships.
