MOUNT VERNON — Three Mount Vernon FFA members recently competed in the Job Interview Contest.
Contestants had to prepare a resume and a cover letter prior to the interview. Then when they arrived they filled out an application, conducted an interview in front of a potential employer, and wrote a thank you letter. Wyatt Kissell won county with a perfect score, won district, and placed 7th at state in division 2. Allen Jacobson placed 4th at county in division 3 and Clayton Michel placed 4th at county in division 1.
The county contest was held at Fredericktown on Nov. 16, districts were held at Clearfork on Nov. 20, and state was held at OSU in December.
