Incidents

Just after 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, a female suspect was reported trespassing at Kroger.

At 6:40 p.m. on Wednesday, an officer responded to a shoplifting incident at Kroger involving a bottle of vodka valued at $4.26. A suspect was identified.

At 9:15 p.m. on Wednesday, an officer responded to a report of a suspicious person at the Dollar General on Coshocton Avenue. A suspect was identified and a background check resulted in an arrest on an outstanding warrant.

Arrests and Charges:

Andrew Schuster, 26, of Mount Vernon was arrested at 1:05 a.m. on Wednesday for having weapons while under disability.

Accidents:

At 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Deborah A. Ladig, 63, of Mount Vernon backed her 2006 Ford 500 out of a space in the Wendy’s parking lot on S. Main Street and struck a 2007 Chevy Avalon, driven by Hazel M. Poe, 65, of Mount Vernon, which was passing through the lot.
