Mount Vernon Municipal Court Judge John Thatcher 

MOUNT VERNON – Judge John Thatcher found 24 people guilty after arraignments and pre-trial hearings at the Mount Vernon Municipal Court on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Paul D. Rhodes, 36 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Possession of Marijuana. The Court sentenced him to pay a $150 fine.

Mary K. Conant, 77 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol and/or a Drug of Abuse, and Failure To Use Reasonable Control. The Court sentenced her to pay a $500 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended, and placed her on two years of community control with the following conditions: schedule and attend a 72-hour driver’s intervention program, and suspended her operator’s license for one year.

Catherine M. Simones, 37 of Mansfield, was found guilty of Driving Under an FRA Suspension. The Court sentenced her to pay a $200 fine.

Shannon M. Bullock, 18 of Howard, was found guilty of Failing To Stop at a stop sign. The Court sentenced her to pay a $25 fine.

Lazenda S. Villareal, 51 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving Under an FRA Suspension. The Court sentenced her to pay a $250 fine.

Symonne R. Snyder, 25 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving Under an FRA Suspension and No Child Restraint. The Court sentenced her to a $200 fine for Driving Under Suspension and a $25 fine for Failure To Provide a Child Restraint.

Andre T. Plikerd, 26 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving Under an FRA Suspension and Speeding. The Court sentenced him to pay a $300 fine for Driving Under Suspension and a $35 fine for Speeding.

Richard R. Miller, 26 of Utica, was found guilty of two counts of Criminal Damaging. The Court sentenced him to serve 90 days in jail, with 90 days suspended, and placed him on two years of probation with the following condition: complete a drug and alcohol assessment within 60 days.

Hezekiah Norman, 55 of Mansfield, was found guilty of Driving Under an OVI Suspension. The Court sentenced him to pay a $250 fine, and serve three days in jail.

Larry A. Fox, 35 of Howard, was found guilty of Domestic Violence, Aggravated Menacing, and Criminal Damaging. The Court sentenced him to serve 180 days in jail, and placed him on two years of probation for the Domestic Violence and Aggravated Menacing charge, and to serve 90 days for the Criminal Damaging charge.

George R. Birchfield, 46 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Possession of Marijuana Drug Paraphernalia. The Court sentenced him to pay a $150 fine.

Paige N. Walker, 28 of Frazeysburg, was found guilty of Failure To Comply With Police Officer’s Orders. The Court sentenced her to serve 15 days in jail, and suspended her operator’s license for 180 days.

Julie Gough, 26 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Theft. The Court sentenced her to serve 180 days in jail, with 160 days suspended, and placed her on two years of probation with the following condition: complete 20 hours of community service.

Marcus R. Clemons, 28 of Centerburg, was found guilty of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The Court sentenced him to serve 30 days in jail, with 28 days suspended, and placed him on 2 years of probation with the following condition: complete a drug and alcohol assessment within 60 days.

Kristie Perkins, 50 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol and/or a Drug of Abuse. The Court sentenced her to pay a $500 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended, and placed her on two years of community control with the following conditions: attend a 72-hour driver’s intervention program, and suspended her operator’s license for two years.

Paul A. Wharton, 39 of Grove City, was found guilty of Speeding. The Court sentenced him to pay a $50 fine.

David A. Edwards, 29 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving Under a 12-point Suspension. The Court sentenced him to serve five days in jail.

Calvin C. Curry, 59 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving Under an ALS Suspension. The Court sentenced him to pay a $250 fine, and serve three days in jail.

Abraham J. Lindsay, 28 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving Under an ALS Suspension. The Court sentenced him to pay a $250 fine, and serve three days in jail.

Robert S. Stewart IV, 21 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Aggravated Menacing and Assault. He will be sentenced on July 9, 2019.

Cory A. Boucher, 42 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Criminal Mischief and Menacing. He will be sentenced on July 9, 2019.

Melanie S. Shipp, 56 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Failure To Control. The Court sentenced her to pay Court costs.

Nicholas Elwood, 27 of Fredericktown, was found guilty of Speeding. The Court sentenced him to pay a $35 fine.

Gabriel Okeke, 25 of Missouri City, was found guilty of Speeding. The Court sentenced him to pay a $25 fine.
