CLEVELAND – Members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Jasmin Moore, 31, on Tuesday afternoon in Cleveland.
The fugitive was wanted by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, Memphis, Tennessee for homicide and aggravated robbery.
It is alleged that on Dec. 2, 2018, Moore, Travis Wilkerson, 36, and Jerrod Williams, 26, broke into a residence near the 3800 block of Bald Eagle Drive, Memphis, Tennessee and were attempting to steal items when an occupant of the residence, Palmer Cowley, 58, confronted them.
Cowley was shot in the chest and died of his injuries as a result. Wilkerson and Williams were arrested in Tennessee earlier this year but Moore fled to northeast Ohio shortly after the incident.
The US Marshals task force officers arrested Moore at an apartment near the 7800 block of Euclid Ave, Cleveland.
“The Marshals Service reach is nationwide,” said US Marshal Pete Elliott. “This fugitive thought she could run to Ohio to avoid answering for her actions but our task force members ended that run for her today.”
