MOUNT VERNON -- During the month of June we remember those who have survived a cancer diagnosis. Each community celebrates in a unique way and uses the month to raise awareness of the ongoing challenges cancer presents.

The annual Survivor Event at KCH is our way to recognize every survivor’s unique story. This year’s event is Thursday, June 13, at 5:30 pm at the Gallagher Centre at Ohio Eastern Star. Survivors and two guests are invited to attend.

The theme of this year’s event is Treasure Survivorship with featured speaker Conor Cunneen. Conor is a two-time cancer survivor who has other survivors and caregivers laughing and learning from Denver to Dublin (Ohio and Ireland).

He combines experiences in Europe and the USA with an Irish wit and humor that will leave you with a smile on your face, a spring in your step and memorable, actionable ideas to make this world just a little better place.

Seating is limited and reservations must be made by calling 740 393 9621 by Friday, June 7. Join us as we celebrate increased survival rates, personal milestones, and you.
