MOUNT VERNON -- The Knox Substance Abuse Action Team would like to extend an invitation to those interested in participating as an exhibitor for the 2019 Knox Addiction Conference, Aug. 6 and 7 at Mount Vernon Nazarene University, 800 Martinsburg Road, Mount Vernon.
Over 300 professional and general public attendees are expected to attend this year’s conference. Exhibitors will have the ability to share information on their services and resources throughout the conference.
"This year we are excited to offer exclusive meet-and-greet exhibit viewing time and opportunities for attendees to win vendor and supporter donated door prizes for increased interaction with exhibitors," stated a press release from the team.
The conference offers a number of professional development tracks and opportunities for continuing education credits. Presentations will also be open to the general public and will provide information on what is being done to address drug abuse in the community.
Participants will learn ways to get involved to support people in recovery and examine ways to help reduce stigma and learn how addiction, treatment and recovery impact every life in our community.
The exhibitor registration fee is $150 for KSAAT members and $250 for non-members. That fee includes an eight-foot table, two chairs and two conference tickets. Payment can be made at: https://2019addictionconference.eventbrite.com.
The conference registration table and exhibit hall set-up will open at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6, at the MVNU Chapel. The conference will then begin at 8 a.m. with a welcome by the KSAAT Adult Committee.
