MOUNT VERNON - The fifth season of the Summer Music Garden concerts begins Sunday, June 25. The opening act is Duke Otherwise, who performs a hilarious, charming and interactive musical program for all ages.
Duke writes original songs bursting with clever wordplay and fun ideas relatable to both kids and adults. From Madison, WI, Duke was recently invited to be a featured performer at KindieComm in Philadelphia opening for this year's Grammy-winner Tim Kubart.
Stefan Shepherd, NPR's children's music reviewer, says of Duke, "Nifty, brainy lyrics...Highly recommended." Duke Otherwise, also known as Noah Reimer, will be appearing at the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County Summer Reading Programs during the following week, as well as at other libraries in central Ohio. During the intermission, MTVarts will be providing a sneak preview of their upcoming musical Bye Bye Birdie.

concerts run from 4-6 pm and are free. All you need to bring is a chair or blanket, and a picnic if
desired. Bottled water is provided. SPI, where Science and Play Intersect, provides support for
this series through an activity for attendees, guaranteeing something fun for everyone.
