On 6-14-17, an officer found 2 white pills with the imprint L-484 on the floor of the elevator at 5 N. Gay St. This pill with imprint "L484" is White, Capsule-shape and has been identified as Acetaminophen 500mg. It is manufactured by Kroger Company. The officer collected the pills and placed them in evidence to be destroyed.


On 6-14-17, Kevin Remillard and his attorney came to the Mount Vernon Police Department to turn himself in. Remillard was wanted on a warrant from the Knox County Sheriff's Office. Remillard was placed in handcuffs and taken to the interview room. there he advised the officer of some medical issues, so a squad was called to check on him. The Mount Vernon fire department responded and transported Remillarde to Knox community hospital. Two officers stayed with Remillard until he was medically cleared. Remillard was then transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.


On 6-14-17, an officer was dispatched to the Coshocton Ave. Dollar General store in reference to a shoplifting. Upon arrival, the officer found that the female suspect had left. A statement and surveillance video were obtained from the store. An investigation is pending.


On 6-14-17, an officer was dispatched to a W. Vine St. residence in reference to the theft of medication. The complainant stated his medication came up missing while he was shopping at Walmart. An investigation is pending.


On 6-13-17, Robert Strawser, 20, Howard, was cited for failure to control.

On 6-14-17, Davion Benson, 24, Detroit, MI. was cited for no operator's license and lighted lights violation.

On 6-14-17, Destiny Stone, 23, E. Burgess St. was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

On 6-14-17, Steven Scott, 62, W. Gambier St. was cited for expired or unlawful plates.

On 6-14-17, Emily Anderson, 21, Cuyahoga, was cited for running a stop light.j



On 6-15-17, Complainant reported that items from off his front porch at his residence on Danville-Amity Rd. had been vandalized


On 6-14-17, Complainant advised that his mail was being forwarded to an unknown address without his knowledge or permission.


On 6-14-17, Jaron M. Dean was arrested on a warrant issued by the Fredericktown Police Department and a parole violation holder. Dean was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.


On 6-14-17, the complainant spoke to an officer by telephone to report his mailbox and mailbox post had been removed and taken from Updike Rd. in Centerburg.
