So as I was driving down Coshocton tonight around midnight, I happened to see a Dodge Charger at a gas station with a light bar and Sheriff emblem on the side. Is this a KCSO cruiser, or a visitor from another county?

If it's KCSO - where did we find money to buy a new cruser? And more importantly, does it have a Hemi?

The charger is owned by Gambier, they contract for deputies with the Sheriff.
I called a friend and he said it's not the hemi but it will run..And it does look sharp!!!!

Not sure about that, but tests done by the MIchigan Highway Patrol put the 3.5 V6 Charger at about the same performance numbers as (and better gas mileage than) a Crown Vic with the 4.6 V8.

Wow, those were the days, huh?

I had a ' 70 350 4 barrel Camaro that I had a hard time keepin' my foot out of and I frequently drove a 68 GTO that belonged to a boyfriend at the time.

small world, huh?

i had a 66 GTO with three deuces and 308 road gears - my Greasemobile could fly!!`At the same time i had a 1960 Austin-Healy bug-eyed Sprite. Took sixth in the state gymkana (spelling) car racing at OSU stadium in 1972. Damn near first - just nudged a cone. Whooped everyone from MTV, no radial tires, and only a few weeks of ownership. Virgil and his silver/gray Porsche ( I think it was) were there.

CM, there are things I'm sure your child never wants to know. I'm 35 and there are some images of my mom I just don't want in my head.

I spent a couple of days working in Gahanna this week next to the police department. I don't know if their entire fleet consists of the Chargers but there were several parked in the lot and every cruiser I happened to see was a Charger.

Sort of gives me the willies, though - seeing a "Charger" with back doors.
