There's only so much that the local paper is able to cover with regard to local interest sporting events and select sports stories that involve athletes from our community. It would be great to have a place where posters can post about how the Middle School teams are doing as well as the Freshman and Reserve teams in our county. If you have access to information regarding a team that generally isn't covered by our local paper, post it here. This is where I'll be posting weekly high school football scores for various teams as well. If it involves someone from our community, it's worthy of being posted here! I'd love to see information from Danville, Centerburg, Fredericktown, East Knox, Highland, Utica, Mt. Vernon, etc. as well as special interest stories about local athletes (including St. Vincent's and Mount Vernon Academy) and what they are doing here and elsewhere.

Which team? I did just find out that the 8th grade scrimmage with Watkins was cancelled. Just a little slow getting up their schedule.

Yes, that's Vicki Fitzgerald, not VF. I've never denied who I am. I've always been on the positive side. I have followed many events and given scores, etc. for a couple of years. I'm not sure what your agenda is with me but this is not the place for it. Thank you and I won't put your initials.

Sadly, they've made "barbs" at me on other posts.

Chim

Are you aware of any schedules for any other teams that you can post to help get the word out as to when games are?

The 7th grade srimmaged Watkins Memorial last night. Mt. Vernon played awsome! Since it was a scrimmage I will say the score was 4 td's to 1, we also completed 1 or 2 2pt conversions.

I will confirm that yes you are correct about the colt league. That being said, I would like to say that the Yellow Jackets looked MUCH better at Friday's scrimmage than that of last week. Defense looked awsome! I want to wish them the best of luck this Friday, will be tough, but I feel they can compete. Go JACKETS!!
