Rumor mill has Bill Parcells may want the challenge in Cleveland. That may be the reason they are slow to interview Holmgrem (another rumor has Holmgrem returning to green bay).

In my opinion Bill Parcels is the greatest mind in the NFL today. He has turned around every program of which he was involved (NY Giants, New England, NY Jets, Dallas and Miami). Although he was a great field manager, I believe he's even more astute behind the scenes as a President/GM. The absolute best move Randy Lerner could make would be to lure Parcells away from Miami, and give him complete and total control over the Browns.

If by any slim chance this happens, (I'll have to see it before I believe it) I predict the Parcells led Browns would win a minimum of 8 games next year, along with winning back some of the respect and creditability that have lost over the last several years.

hey gun - good to see you still hanging in with the browns. I like the big tuna too. Anything with him will have to wait until the seasons over. Brownies are big mess right now. only a handful of real players. if the browns get the big tuna i would love to travel up to watch a practice next summer.

Ben, I've never been a fair weather fan. Someday (hopefully before I die) the Browns are going to reward their die-hard fans. I mean you're bound to get it right someday, even if it's only by luck.

Gotta give the Browns credit though, even though they've only won one game and look woefully outclassed on any given Sunday, they continue to remain relevant. Nearly every day they are in the sporting news, although it's usually for a not so enviable reason.

I believe Mangini will be relieved of his duties by the new GM. Unfortunately he proved he learned nothing from his time in NY, and ability to judge talent is suspect at best.

In hindsight they should of hired an experience GM and coach. This was not a job for a first time GM, especially one that was hired by his coach. Heck, I think bringing Marty Schottemheimer back for a couple of years would of been a great move. Of course, it's much easier to say this after watching the thing blow up.

Well, the Browns got their man, and I'll go on record as saying. I agree with the hire. Mike Holgrem instantly brings the Browns much needed creditability, and a respected voice. Be interesting as to what changes will be made.
