Hey ham sandwich, you are the one in Mt Vernon, remember? so if it's anyone sharing the booze it will be you..and don't go getting your panties in a bunch just because I pointed out someone's obvious SNAP! And you never did answer proud american's question...are you going to issue your subpoena, check phone records, interview suspects, and make the arrest on your own? I am sure CM wouldn't mind you "cuffing" her....muahhaahhahaaa..oh, that was a little snap there too..

Ok everybody, quick talking about the 1/4% sales tax increase. The man from Florida has spoken and says the case is closed so we Knox County citizens should no longer discuss the issue.

I think people would be more likely to spend money if they weren't taxed to death already. When your house payments go up because you don't have enough in your escrow for your property taxes when there are increases just frustrates people, then to get taxed more to buy things for your home..May as well put an IV in and just take the blood as you need.

Yeah, all his posts are gone from every thread

Back to topic now

I had a one hour sit down with the Commissioners today regarding most of the issues on here, some that were emailed to me, and some of my own. I need to collect my thoughts and notes but will blog their responses later.

However, I wish to thank each and every one of them for answering questions, issue by issue, in a comfortable, down to earth setting and mutual respect being show across the board. I tip my hat to Ms. Bemiller, Mr. Stockberger, and Mr. Wise for their open attitudes and willingness to be transparent and honest.

okay - one more post off-topic

my money says that NRM deleted as many posts as he could - after all; if he was thinking of really moving here, those posts would have been incredibly embarrassing, and counterproductive to any kind of employment he was either seeking, or offering........

in any event, his posts are gone..........can we PLEASE return to topic without the interference of some unbalanced individual insulting everyone?

cool............

It's kind of a moot point since it won't be on the ballet next week anyway. We as Knox county citizens need to come together and hold the commissioners ( all four of them including the non-elected one) responsible for the mess this county is in. Why is city of Mount Vernon in better fiscal shape than the county? I don't know about the other municipalities as I live in Mount Vernon.

I don't have my notes together, but one thing I'll blog now - I need to give credit where credit definitely is due

The Commissioners shared that they HAVE offered to take a 10% cut in pay and return the monies to the general fund if all elected county officials will do the same - will follow up later to find out if any elected officials have agreed to do so as well
