I give up NRM - can't you find somewhere to haunt in Tallahassee? Do you really need to get on the internet, troll, and harass peoples what, 2,500 miles away for amusement?

That's really, really, really sad, dude..........but whatever works for you

Messalina I will have to disagree with you on your last comment. I have worked with Morrow County and talked with them about your situation on several different occassions. With the decreased force, less crimes are detected and reported. I know that outside agencies are being utilized from time to time to deal with problems in your County. When it is advertized that there is no enforcment at specific times, then it becomes a breeding ground for criminal activity.

My parents spend half year in Ohio, half year in Florida. They have a digital voip phone. They have the same phone number year around. While in Florida, they have a 740 area code. Not uncommon these days ;)

Hey, over here in Morrow County, guess what, we have not been overrun with any more crime, murder, or drug deals going on than before the lay-offs. Think about that, yeah, what a surprise? Not.

If Caesar were still alive, you would be chained to an oar.

The only problem I have with this statement is my neighbors across the street (and across the county line). They've lived there for over 30 years without ever having a problem and were broken into twice in less than a week.

Now, I'm not naive enough to say that the odds won't eventually catch up with anyone. I lived in Columbus and had someone try to break into my apartment door. Fortunately, the bar caught it and they left. I also know that (on my road in particular) criminals aren't really paying attention to which side of the road they are on - Delaware or Morrow. What I do know is that the license plate for the car involved in the break-in was tracked to a vehicle stolen in Richland County.

Morrow County citizens are not going out and committing crimes against other Morrow County citizens. But, the publicity this situation has garnered does give the appearance (to the criminally inclined) of an open-door policy.

Morrow County has and has always had its share of drug dealers and manufacturers - just like all of the small 'burgs in Knox County. They aren't going anywhere and were already there before the layoffs. Murder happens in every county in the state (well, without searching I can't say that for sure). It's the petty crimes that change people's lives and perspectives of the world around them that will continue to increase with fewer LEO on the job.

Hey NRM, just curious to know and I know this is non of my business but I'll ask anyway....so do you pay insurance on all those houses you have lived in for the last 50 years? Oh, one more question...what about the car you drive, do you carry insurance on that as well? Just wondered if you pay for a service you may or may not need in the future. Oh, and there's health insurance. Ever submit a claim for health insurance? Again, just curious to see if you pay for any services you may or may not need.
