i found a sand dollar sized turtle washed up on the beach at apple valley, i brought it back home and made a nice habbitat for him, i am wondering if anyone could tell me what kind it is? Its a soft shelled and has a pointy tail and long nose. It lives in water but comes up to breath. its all brown with light greenish brown spots on top

Maybe a box turtle????? Do you have rocks in there so he can get out of the water? What are you feeding him?

Does this look like the turtle?

I think this one is an adult but you could have found a baby.

Take it back to the lake! My neighbor gave a turtle to my daughter when I was not at home. It stunk. They can live forever (40 years or so)
