At 1:55 p.m. on Thursday, an officer responded to a reported disturbance at an apartment on the 1100-block of Beech Street. Upon arrival, he found staff members from Behavioral Health Partners attempting to get a patient back into the residence. The patient complied but needed first to be transported to Knox Community Hospital for an evaluation.
Arrests and Charges:
Thomas Wilson, 40, of Mount Vernon was arrested at 2:35 p.m. last Friday for a probation violation.
Amanda Peters, 19, of Mount Vernon was cited at 8:15 a.m. on Thursday for failing to control her vehicle.
James Pitchford, 52, of Marion was cited at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday for failure to assure a clear driving-distance ahead.
At 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, Randa Harrah of Coshocton was heading westbound on Coshocton Avenue in her 2013 Ford Explorer. James Pitchford, 52, of Marion was behind her in a Peterbilt semi-truck. Harrah slowed to turn left into the Opportunity Knox driveway and Pitchford rear-ended her. The impact knocked Harrah’s vehicle into an oncoming 2005 Chevy Trailblazer driven by Matthew Kelling, 29, of Mount Vernon. Pitchford was cited for the incident and all three vehicles were towed from the scene.
