DANVILLE – State troopers suspect alcohol was a factor in a Saturday morning crash that killed a Danville woman.
Vicci Sapp, 45, Danville, was eastbound on U.S. 62 when she lost control of her vehicle, drove off the right side of the road and flipped several times. Her passenger, Angela Heldenbrand, 41, Danville, was killed in the crash after being ejected from the vehicle, according to a news release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Two other passengers, Max Carrier, 46, Brinkhaven and Robert Stribling, 43, Mount Vernon, were transported by squad to Knox Community Hospital.
Sapp was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and could face other charges, according to the OSHP.
The investigation is ongoing.
